I was thrilled to be invited to exhibit at Artifact, a little gallery on Lower East Side, New York City. I decided to create work on my journey through Thailand and UK to include with my InkBlot sculptures. These photo prints incorporated images of landscapes coupled with ink splatter paintings, sometimes layered on top of the landscape and other times they revealed the landscape, creating tensioned marks on paper. ‘Tempest’ was a response to the climate crisis and questioned the invisible strain that environmental challenges like fire, drought and floods have upon our collective psyche.
